About Briton Wilde Photography
Briton Wilde Photography was founded by Rachel Wendt and Cynthia Blackshear, two friends who share a passion for livestock and photography. The inspiration for the brand came from our daughters’ names, Briley and Peyton, who also have a passion for showing pigs and spending time together. Wilde means “high spirited, a leader”, and nothing could describe our girls more accurately!
We hope that you’ll recognize that same passion and spirit for excellence, service and professionalism in our work. We look forward to getting to know each and everyone of you and hope to see you in the show ring soon!
Meet Rachel.
Rachel is based in Needville, Texas with her husband Caleb and daughter Peyton. Excellence isn’t just a goal in her family, it’s a way of life. In her free time, Rachel loves to travel to livestock shows where her daughter Peyton competes with pigs. She also invests her time helping many other families compete at a premiere level with their livestock projects. As a Special Education Teacher, she has the opportunity to work with students on the Autism spectrum and empower them to reach for the stars.
Rachel expanded into livestock photography in 2019, and has had the opportunity to picture both Texas Majors and local shows. She loves capturing livestock projects not only just for families, but also for breeders to showcase their genetics programs.
Rachel loves to travel for work or fun, so wherever your photo needs might be, you can bet that she’ll pack up her gear and meet you there!
Meet Cynthia.
Cynthia lives in Cypress, Texas with her husband Jason and three kids. Cynthia’s love of photography started 14 years ago when she decided there had to be a better way to capture memories of her kids than fake backgrounds and forced poses.
Cynthia is a natural-light photographer, specializing over the years in children, family and senior photos.
Most recently in the past 5 years, she has discovered a love of livestock photography. It began with photographing her own children in the show ring, then expanded to capturing moments for friends and grew into not only finding that perfect moment of the exhibitor, but also the animal.
In her free time (well, as much free time as you have with a barn full of animals!) she loves to travel and spend time with friends and family.
